With the participation of over twenty dancers, conducted the workshop technique and contemporary composition, given by the extraordinary dancer Claudia Lavista, at the Center for the Arts in San Luis Potosi "Centennial".
The workshop, which took place from 23 to 28 November 2009, was aimed at dancers, professional choreographers and dance students of senior classes, and was intended to provide practitioners of this discipline, tools to enrich their work body in the technical and expressive, and recognize through composition technique and the creative power of the dancer-performer and his responsibility as an artist.
Claudia Lavista formed in the National System for Vocational Education of the Dance (special groups) and the master Federico Castro, teacher and choreographer of the Ballet Nacional de Mexico. In 1987 he joined the group U, X. Onodanza, led by Raul Parrao. In 1988 he received the Award for Best Actress at the IX National Dance Award, and was soon invited to join the cast of the Company Danzahoy of Venezuela, not only developing his career as a performer but also as a choreographer. In 1992 he founded, next to Victor Manuel Ruiz, Delfos Contemporary Dance. Two years later, FONCA scholarship was awarded the interpreter, and in 1996 won the Special Projects.
Lavista has made numerous national and international tours in countries like Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Spain, British Guiana, Guatemala, Portugal, Canada, Colombia, USA. States. and Greece. As a performer, has performed in over fifty world premieres, and in his repertoire as a choreographer, are the works: Basement, The calm, sorry; A room of her own, the roof, and no truce (the latter three, on behalf of Cia. Nal. of Dance), Memoirs of a traveler (1.er winning the Production Support Production Choreographic Centre) and co-authored with Victor Manuel Ruiz and string trio (National Dance Award 1992), The love; Three minutes (tribute to Guillermina Bravo) and commissioned by the International Cervantes Festival: The Rite of Spring, the operas Dido and Aeneas and Idomeneus Catulli Carmina and king of Crete, for the National Institute of Fine Arts, among other .
She teaches contemporary dance and has taught dance workshops in the UNAM, the study of Ema Pulido, in Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers Company of Canada, and the Professional School of Contemporary Dance of Mazatlan.
He is currently deputy director, choreographer and dancer of Delphi Contemporary Dance, in addition to carrying out, together with Victor Manuel Ruiz, the decentralization project, promotion and dance education in Mazatlan, Sinaloa.
