    ANNUAL VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION AT THE ARTS CENTER OF SAN LUIS POTOSI "CENTENNIAL"


    As part of academic activities that take place at the Arts Center of San Luis Potosi "Centenario", from November to early January 2010, will be presenting the annual exhibition of Visual Arts 2009, in the Gallery of this site.

    The exhibition shows the work done by students and teachers of that area, over a year, and includes textile art, graphics, painting, photography, drawing, sculpture and ceramics. It combines the promotion of cultural activities that promote the many technical languages, and involve both the cultural diversity of these new producers of art as the formation of a new audience and also plural, more demanding and complex.

    Participating students and teachers from various community and regional cultural centers and artists from other regions of the country and abroad who in 2009 were participants in the artistic training of the Center for the Arts. Among them, Saul Kaminer, a painter in charge of updating for advanced techniques, Melvina Orozco and Rodrigo Meneses, for those incursions. Veronica Gomez and Oswaldo Rivera, responsible for the engraving workshop, gravure and lithography; Miguel Villalpando, screen printing.

    Also, the integral work of textile art by the teacher Rosa Luz Marroquin, the initiation and updating of the photographic art by Ricardo Sierra, the teacher in charge of Antonio Nava sculptural process from modeling in cement to stone carving, and Paul Nevin work in volumetric terms of metal. Ceramic Sculpture in the direction of Maestro Gerardo Azcunaga, and the introduction to the contemporary utilitarian pottery by Alejandro Diaz de Cossio. Also included is the design and development in fused glass workshop, conducted by Maestro Carlos Alberto Sanchez.

    In addition, the drawing in three dimensions, which can lead to the cartonería, the workshop of the line is solid, led by Humberto Roque. The project developed by the artist Marieta Bracho, Five Senses, where it sensitizes blind and visually impaired children, and encourages the free expression of their experience, the artistic interventions of Ivan Juarez, San Luis creator based in Barcelona.

    This exhibition reveals and reaffirms the commitment they have both the area of ​​Visual Arts and the Arts Center itself, to form and foster the creation constantly able to grasp those tools to more and better aesthetic expression through a continuous process of information dissemination, creation and research and dissemination of professional art.

    The exhibition was inaugurated on November 18 and is open to the general public in the Gallery of the Arts Centre, from Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 14:00 and 18:00 to 20: 00 hours, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 17:00 hrs.
