The Arts Center of San Luis Potosi Centennial invites the concert given by the group Vodku Band. The musical evening will offer the group originally from Hungary, will be held on Monday 23 March to 20 hours in the Water Mirror Center for the Arts. Admission is free.
The band was formed Band Vodku ten years ago in Budapest, Hungary. Consists of six professional musicians graduated from the best conservatories in the country and a singer.
The band has dedicated his career performing his own songs based on the folklore of Central and Eastern Europe, combined with elements of modern music, like jazz, rock and other styles. His program is devoted mostly to Jewish music and traditional music from countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and Russia. The instruments that dominate are: violin, basguitarra, acoustic guitar, clarinet, saxophone and percussion. They have performed in various parts of Europe and twice in Mexico.
Fixing the traditional instruments such as darbuka tarogato and as well as modern instruments, guitar, bass, saxophone and drums based on an organic sound, Vodku Band concerts creates a unique atmosphere and records, familiar to music fans, whether modern or traditional.
Vodku The Band's first album, entitled "Kiköto (Port)" includes mainly Jewish Russian songs and multicultural town of Odessa. The second, "more" includes songs selected in Europe. Appearing around Hungary and the rest of the continent (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Austria, Germany and Portugal), as in Mexico in 2001 and 2005, Vodku Band has won the hearts of audiences around the world.
