• Greek Creators presented details of his artwork
Greek artists gathered at the Chamber of Audiovisual Integration Area Arts Center of San Luis Potosi "Centennial" occasion to show their work and expose some of the creative process in the development of his artwork. Several artists spoke one by one in this interesting discussion.
Although the artists were not expressed in our language and an interpreter was needed, there was a good interaction with the audience made up of fifty people, who responded by making various comments and questions to the speakers.
The first artist to exhibit his work was Giannis Stamenitis, who presented their work from their website: www.stamenitis.com, which houses photographs of much of the work. He works with a combination of photography, printmaking, painting and graphic design. The content of his artwork is primarily a political and social topics.
Giannis Stamenitis exhibited his work mainly on the streets of Greece clandestinely, since he thinks that the arts should be directed to the whole world.
Another of the artists present, Giorgos Pallis, presented some of his work in printmaking and painting. He commented that the most important is the transformation of raw materials into works of art, since he makes use of cheap resources, and what he enjoys most is the process of elaboration of the work rather than the final work.
Grigoriadou Georgia also exposed a little of his work in digital prints, prints and installations. Before showing his work read a text of his own about the art as a process of creative expression, then showed photographs of some of his works and installations mounted in Greece, mainly expressing ecological issues.
Finally he gave the floor to Kyriakaki Sofia, Greek painter who lives in San Luis Potosi, she spoke about contemporary art and influence of the context of each artist in his work, and commented that currently there are no borders for art as Many techniques are known and any trends that might apply, but the important thing is the expression of the artist in his work.
