The Rescue of Treasures Potosinos, Guardians of Tradition, was the name of the activity carried out on Friday July 31 in Gallery 2 Arts Center San Luis Potosi Centennial same as attended the Miguel Angel Calixto traditional medical, Aquismón Township, San Luis Potosi.
The conference was led by Jose Luis Garcia Galeano, director of the Institute of Cultural Identity of Leon, Guanajuato, and Mari Soto who in a brief interview with Miguel Angel Calixto, explained the importance of keeping our traditions alive, despite of colonization that took hundreds of years ago.
Among the topics are explained the significance of the costumes of the dancers, as well as the importance of traditional medicine, and the positive changes that would occur between the company if they knew the old traditions adapt to new customs. Such is the case of traditional medicine and homeopath, as explained by the traditional doctor.
The purpose of the customs that have these groups, is closer to the gods, this is done by dancing and prayers offered in their native language, who aim to heal the mind, body and soul, as he said, is what This compound humans.
To improve the situations in which indigenous groups are the representative of the indigenous medical advice, Miguel Angel Calixto, proposes that institutions work directly with organizations, this in order to rescue their culture, and the means they use to run their traditions, such as conservation of botanical gardens, which are essential for traditional medicine.
Among the activities that were taken under the program, also attended the dance troupe, "The Butchers" from the community of La Tapona Mexquitic municipality of Carmona, who after a slide show on the community, danced in Centenary Square Arts Center.
