Exhibit textile and ceramics are displayed in galleries.
The exhibits are the result of workshops conducted in the center.
"Art, like life itself, we may be complicated, since we demand too much, makes us descend to the deepest levels," says a text written by the artist Rosa Luz Marroquin citation accompanying both exhibitions, this phrase summarizes the physical work, intellectual and emotional development of the creators of the pieces on display in the galleries of the Arts Center of San Luis Potosi "Centennial".
The colorful works will be on display until 31 January in the galleries of the Centennial Plaza CEART. These pieces are the result of workshops held in the center. The Textile Arts workshop was taught by the teacher Rosa Luz Marroquin, while the teacher Sue Lancaster headed the Ceramics Workshop.
The exhibition titled "Textile Exhibition," features various creations that share a common material used: cloth. The everyday object is molded in various ways and using some techniques that result in different forms and meanings. A companion to the creations displayed clearly explains the requirements that make the creative process occurs: "Three elements are originally united: artist, technical and material, this is the main element of an essentially creative."
Another feature is the textile display torn paper, that from different perspectives and using images and textures plasma as its author's mind different feelings and ways of thinking, to form a mosaic of ideas in order to express themselves.
In the second part of the exhibition you can see several pieces made by students of ceramics workshop, taught by Sue Lancaster. This exhibition emphasizes the importance of this activity through the ancient art and history as a link with the past.
