As part of the activities of the Center for the Arts in San Luis Potosi Centennial from Friday December 9, will be held the inauguration of the sculpture exhibition "From line to sculpture, visual artist Juan Gutierrez , which will be displayed in the area of integration and literature, as a conclusion of the project that the artist potosino beneficiary of Artistic Residency Program for Artists from Latin America and Haiti in Mexico 2011.
Through this exhibition, Gutierrez presented the public part of the artwork made by students in the sculpture workshop taught online at the Cultural Center of the municipality of Salinas, as part of the Community activities carried out compensation under Artistic Residencies for Artists from Latin America and Haiti in Mexico 2011, supported by the National Fund for Culture and the Arts in conjunction with the CASLPC.
As part of the opening of the exhibition "From the line to the metal", it will hold a roundtable under the same name, with the participation of the CP. Arturo Betancourt, Director General of the Cultural Center of Salinas, Leo Enriquez, Assistant CASLPC Integration and artist Juan Gutierrez, who conducted a presentation and reflection on learning processes and artistic creation in this discipline.
Note that the workshop was given for the purpose of enriching the cultural dynamics of the state, implementing a program of academic activities that allow the experiences and lessons learned from this cultural exchange conducted through FONCA residency program, which for three years consecutive CASLPC has participated, may have an impact beyond the confines of this institution, providing in turn the opportunity for residents to link their work and reward the artistic community of diverse cultural institutions in the capital and municipalities.
Juan Gutierrez holds a degree in Fine Arts from the State School of Fine Arts in San Luis Potosi, continuing his studies in the IPBA artistic professionalization and CASLPC.
