Call EFITEATRO 2011

EFITEATRO is a fiscal stimulus to the taxpayers of income tax granted by Article 226 Bis of the Law on Income Tax, in order to support investment projects in the National Theatre Production.

Through EFITEATRO, taxpayers who contribute to investment projects in the National Theatre Production in Mexico authorized by the Interinstitutional Committee on the stimulus, can get a tax credit equal to the amount of its contribution, applicable against the income tax year in which the credit is determined to apply in the following ten years until exhausted.

It is important to consider that:

* The maximum amount to be distributed through EFITEATRO is 50 million dollars for each fiscal year. The maximum amount that you can access each project is 2 million pesos.

* For FY 2011, the period of receipt of documents referred to in that provision shall be from 1 March to 31 May this year.

* If the amount of EFITEATRO, in fiscal year concerned, has not been allocated in full, will open the agreement of the Inter-Agency Committee, an extraordinary period for receipt of requests for the application of the stimulus. This will be released through the websites of the Ministry of Finance, CONACULTA and INBA, at the latest within fifteen days after publication of the investment projects which have been authorized.

* The decision of projects approved for support through EFITEATRO depends on the stimulus Interagency Committee, comprising representatives of the Ministry of Finance, CONACULTA and INBA. The first chairman of the Committee and has a casting vote.

* The INBA analyze, evaluate and dictates the viability of investment projects to be submitted in accordance with the operating guidelines and based on the recommendations issued an Evaluation Council regarding the artistic merits and cultural requests for the application formulate fiscal stimulus stakeholders. These recommendations are not binding for the granting of the stimulus by the IADC.

* The Evaluation Council will be formed by leading professionals in the field of theater, which may not participate in any of the projects and applicants should have some link with stakeholders in implementing the fiscal stimulus should disclaim an opinion and vote in this particular case, which shall state specifically in the minutes.

* EFITEATRO be combined with other stimuli or theatrical production support, as long as permitted by other calls.
