Justification

The Design Lab comes from the need to create spaces to complement the training in the field of design in San Luis Potosi, where in recent years educational institutions have expanded the range of 3 schools offering vocational training in this field 5 years ago to 10 today offer a variety of options in the various fields of design (from technical courses to graduate).

This project focuses on artistic development within the professional field of design, aimed at young trainees, recent graduates also serves to update the professionals in this field and as training and introduction to visual creators.

Considering the design as a means of creation and expression is taken into account two major fields of design:

- Industrial Design

- Graphic Design

These two disciplines are related directly to contemporary art education within the applied arts, serve an important role for the development of contemporary art and multidisciplinary arts.

Mission

The main task of the Laboratory of Design and Information Arts Center of San Luis Potosi Centennial is to create a space intended to complement the training of students (undergraduate) design (industrial and graphic) through research, creation, production and appreciation of cutting-edge trends within and outside our country, likewise promote the upgrading and training of professionals in this field working in the CASLPC.

Vision

The area of ​​Design (Graphic and Industrial) is projected as a space that will promote linkages with universities statewide, national and international levels to promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge and training in these disciplines.

Admission Profile

It is intended for intermediate students of Bachelor's semesters related to Industrial Design, Graphic Arts, graduates and professionals in this field.
